Our final in-person session was held on 9th April at the uCreate makerspace. In the session we reflected on what we had learnt over the last nine months of Eduino and showcased the progress we had made on our personal projects (a highlight was seeing Andreas’ music box in action). The group came up with a huge diversity of projects, from interactive art installations to scientific instruments. It is great to see that members from all educational backgrounds were able to find a use for Arduino in their personal or academic pursuits.
Throughout Eduino it has been inspiring to see the hard work our members have put in. Most participants had no prior experience with Arduino, and many with very little to no knowledge of electronics and programming. During the course of Eduino, participants developed a theoretical understanding of fundamental concepts related to C++ programming and electronic circuit design as well as practical skills in writing C++ code and building electronic circuits.
A big congratulations to everyone who participated! Hopefully this is just the beginning of many Arduino adventures for us all.
